Tovashal Elementary School, a California Distinguished School, serves students in Kindergarten through Grade Five. Tovashal Elementary School opened in August of 1999. Tovashal, which means “white oak”, is the sixth elementary school opened in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.

When they graduate from school, students will be accomplished, confident, positive, and productive citizens.   

Team Tovashal will be enthusiastic leaders who have supportive relationships with parents and students to create a caring school community. 

As a school community, we will be energized, enthusiastic, and open to new ideas. 

The primary role of teachers will be to inspire academic, social, and emotional excellence. 

The curriculum will be challenging, relevant, and research-based in order to empower students and staff as a model of an exemplary school. 

Behavioral supports will empower children to use peer conflict resolution and self-regulation strategies. 

Our focus for success will be to develop productive leaders and positive contributors in society.
